Cairn of Claise is generally a very rounded hill with an open summit, but there are some steep scree slopes immeadiately to the West. It is one of the 6 summits that sit on a high plateau just to the East of the Glen Shee ski centre which means that there isn't much in the way of distance or height gain to get on to the summit.
