Sgurr a' Choire Ghlais and the other three Munros on this ridge, Sgurr na Ruaidhe, Carn nan Gobhar, and Sgurr Fuar-thuill form a well-defined ridge that stretches along Glen Strathfarrar. A traverse of the full ridge gives an enjoyable day out in the mountains, the only downside being that your finish point is some 4 miles away from your starting point.
