MUNRO CENTRAL
Beinn a'Chaorainn
| Location: | NJ045013 |
| Height: | 1083 m 3550 ft |
Along with Beinn Bhreac, this mountain occupies a large area of high ground on the East side of Glen Derry. On the Western side of the plateau the going is firm, but if you venture more to the East towards Beinn a'Bhuird you will come across vast peat bogs. The best way to do these mountains (and most of those in the greater Cairngorm area) is to camp out or use the bothies in this area.
