| Location: | NN143542 |
| Height: | 1150 m 3773 ft |
Bidean nam Bian is the highest mountain in this local area and an ascent of Bidean and the nearby peak of Stob Coire Sgreamhach is one of the many classic walks in this area. Easily accessible from Glen Coe without any difficulties, this is an accessible mountain as well.
An interesting historical belief regarding Bidean is that one of it's Glens, Coire Gabhail was used by Clan Macdonald to hide cattle. From Glen Coe, Coire Gabhail looks like a narrow gorge, but as you traverse up the gorge you come out in a huge open valley, consequently known as the Hidden or Lost valley.
