MUNRO CENTRAL
Mam Sodhail
| Location: | NH119253 |
| Height: | 1181 m 3875 ft |
Mam Sodhail is one of the higher mountains in Scotland, the 14th highest in fact. This mountain lies in the central area of the Glen Affric region. Access is reasonable in a day, but you also have Carn Eighe just to the North and Beinn Fhionnlaidh further to the North again. Beinn Fhionnlaidh in particular is not very accessible and the only way to reach it is via Carn Eighe. So if you want to one day climb all the Munros you really have to do all three at the same time. Otherwise, maybe just climb Mam Sodhail and Carn Eighe, leaving Beinn Fhionnlaidh to the die-hards.
